Collaboration with Betrand Mao, 2013
A master calligrapher and Chinese landscape painter, Betrand Mao rendered a goldfish pond, which I animated with three-dimensional water textures into this projected video piece. An exploration of video projection mapping onto sand, the piece redefines the gallery space into an idyllic landscape in homage to the scholarship of medieval Chinese literati.
